Abstract The projects goal is to evaluate the most relevant arguments concerning social justice in the past decades. To achieve this end (1) it tries to consider the proper mode of moral reasoning underpinning egalitarianism and (2) it attempts to defend an interpretation of John Rawls "democratic egalitarianism" as the best account of egalitarianism.
