Abstract

The theme of this research is the appropriation practices of scientific and academics knowledge production tools by indigenous university students in Brazil. Based on a conceptual framework obtained from the intersection of three different fields of political and academic discussion (i.e, the network of discussions about indigenous higher education in Brazil, the field of indigenization of "culture" and the field of Anthropology of Science), we intend to examine the ways in which, in the experience of such students entering university, different ways of knowing and living are being connected and interrelated. To achieve this aim and to seize these multiple connections, we purpose to follow the life and the student trajectory of some indigenous scholars involved in various contexts of insertion of indigenous in Brazilian higher education.
