Abstract

Currently, respiratory diseases are considered a serious health problem, leading to serious problems of economic nature due to high morbidity and mortality (Martin, 1996; Cutlip et al., 1998), accounting for 10-40% of deaths in adult animals (Vieira et al. 1993) and for 17% of deaths during the perinatal period (Rook et al. 1990). Due to the high impact and economic by difficulty of diagnostic agent that seek to evaluate this work in herds located in the region of Serra da canasta state of Minas Gerais, the occurrence of major viral etiological agents (PI-3, BVD and HV) and bacterial (Mannheimia (Pasteurella) haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida) causing bronchopneumonia in cattle. 200 females will be sampled and sent to isolation of etiologic agents described above and the correlation of the clinical signs presented by the animal on the day of collection that will be cataloged in a clinical examination data sheet specifies.
