Abstract

This Project aims at comprehending how information transacts inside Wikipedia, it means, how information is being deposited, organized, structured and displayed. As well as identifying the form users get the most out of this platform to edit and/or looking up the existing entries. To do so, some interdisciplinary Information Science theoretical references which approach themes will be used, like: the encyclopedist spirit or encyclopedism, the shared knowledge construction, internet computer technologies study and the information science perspectives towards information on web. Before this production, it is out to make out ask the movement of the encyclopedia's making up since its beginnings to Wikepedia's idealization, aiming at realizing (if existing) how the shared knowledge construction is given on web. It is understood that Wikipedia, as an environment which allows the construction of a knowledge and this construction is made collectively and collaboratively, by any ones. However, this construction is not made anarchically/disorderly, but some kind of organization exists and that exact organization form is what it is out to comprehend. In order to do so, it is important to consider the technologies and internet development, how they have been idealized, their changes and current conjuncture. (AU)
