Abstract

Let * be an involution of a group algebra KG induced by an involution of the group G. We define *-identities in groups analogous to *-identities in rings. In this research project we aim to relate the *-identities of the unit group of KG to the nilpotence of the Lie algebra of *-skew elements of KG.
