Abstract

On the sugarcane tillage with the mechanic and raw harvest, the longevity of the sugarcane plantation and the environmental quality are fundamental points and reflected by the evaluation of physical soil attributes. Therefore, this work aims is to evaluate the effects of sugarcane tillage on physical soil attributes. The study will be taken in areas located in Jaboticabal, São Paulo State, and for this, three areas will be used, the native forest with 20 ha, which will be a reference for the comparison, and another two areas with sugarcane, one planted in March 2009 with 23 ha, and one in March 2012 with 20 ha, both with variety RB855156. After the harvest due for July 2013 there will be 30 samples point in each of three areas, and in each one, samples will be taken from 0 to 0.2 m, 0.2 to 0.4 m, and 0.4 to 0.6 m depth. The disturbed samples of soil will determine the stability aggregation index in water and the quantity of organic matter. The undisturbed soil samples will establish soil bulk density, total soil porosity, macroporosity, microporosity, and resistance penetration. Descriptive statistics will be used to characterize areas, calculating, mean, variance, standard error of the mean, confidence intervals for mean, and dispersion graphics for each area. (AU)
