Abstract

The objective of this study is the surface modification of the Ti30Ta alloy by drug incorporation. Alloys will be melting in an arc-melting furnace with an argon atmosphere. Ingots will be cold worked and discs with 13mm in diameter and 3 mm in thickness will be obtained. Samples will be modified on the surface using an alkaline treatment, heat treatment, and immersion in SBF (Simulated Body Fluid) plus antibiotics. SEM, AFM Thermal analysis, and also contact angle will evaluate the surfaces.(AU)
