Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate the influence of photoinitiator system and reducting agent on physical properties of experimental composite resins photoatctivated by different LED units. Thus, this study will be separated into two parts: Study A, in which one basic composite resin with Bis-GMA, UDMA, Bis-EMA, TEGDMA, coloidal sílica, barium aluminosilicate glass associated to different photoinitiator systems: CQ, PPD, TPO or BAPO with reducting amine range: DMAEMA, EDMAB, DMOH, DMPOH, TMA, DMPT, DEPT, DABE or sesamin as well as the inclusion of OPPI will be photoactived by Bluephase G2 (Ivoclar Vivadent) to evaluate the influence of the photoinitiator system/reducting agent on color stability and physical properties of the different experimental composite resins. Thereafter, on study B, the experimental composite resins better results on study will be photoactivated by different LED units: Radii Cal (SDI) or Bluephase G2 (Ivoclar Vivadent) to evaluate the influence of the espectral irradiance on the physical properties of the composite resin. The physical-mechanical properties will be tested by conversion degree, sorption, solubility, flexural resistance, elastic modulus, cohesive resistance and color stability by spectrophotometry after accelerated artificial aging. Data for each cement were analyzed by two-way or three-way ANOVA and Tukey test (± =0.05) by SAS 9.1 (SAS Institute, Cary, EUA). (AU)
