Abstract

Soybean crop has great economic importance, being source of food and energy in the world, which means that the demand for this oilseed will keep high. Soybean yield is highly dependent on climatic conditions, so studies associated to the reduction of yield gaps due to climatic limitations, both for current and future climate conditions. Therefore, the aim of this project is to evaluate the effects of climate change, provided by Regional Climate Models, in the soybean yield, for southern Brazil. Different crop models will be used for estimating soybean yield. Crop models will be calibrated, tested and submitted to and sensitivity analysis, to subsequently be used for evaluating the effect of current and future climates on the yield, for defining the best sowing dates and for selecting parameters of soybean cultivars to promote the adaptation to the future climate conditions.
