Abstract

Ovum pick up by videolaparoscopy in small ruminants is currently one of the main reproductive biotechnologies. This study aims to evaluate better animalpositioning for laparoscopic genitourinary system access and verify a method that minimizes the formation of adhesions by visceral manipulation in the procedure. Twenty-four Santa Inesewes will be randomly assigned to 4 groups of 6 animals each well characterized (n = 6): GTS - with positioning "Trendelenburg" and without use of lidocaine; GLS - in lateral recumbency, without "Trendelenburg" and without lidocaine; GTL - with "Trendelenburg" and lidocaine; GLL - in lateral recumbency without "Trendelenburg" with lidocaine. The uterus and ovaries will be flushed at the end of the procedure with 0.3 ml / kg of 0.9% NaCl and 6 mg / kg of lidocaine 2% with the purpose of removing clots from the surface attempting to prevent the adhesionsformation. Will be evaluated intraoperative physiological parameters of the animal, duration of surgery, analgesia and assessments in the post-surgical regarding the manifestation of pain, inflammation and scarring. The animals will be submitted to a second laparoscopy,21 days after, to examine macroscopically formation of adhesions. The oocytes recovered will be analyzed for quality and quantity. Data will be evaluated by ANOVA test.
