Abstract

The objective of this research is to investigate the importance of the setting of the spectacle "First São Paulo Opinion Fair" with respect to the trajectory of the Arena Theater, to assess the existing documentation, texts, and the songs there presented and to gather them with the intent of a possible critical edition of the material. The project also intends to understand to which extent it historical process appears in the form of the play. To achieve these goals, a study of the historic moment which Brazilian theater experienced and of the aesthetical approaches to criticism of the military dictatorship will be realized. (AU)
