Abstract

The universe of the interior of historic farms is one of the many areas that are not usually characterized as units of information, but that concentrate wealth of documents and unquestionable knowledge. The farms are a memory space, knowledge and culture of many actions that need to be explored regarding identification, organization and dissemination of knowledge in order to promote the practices of preservation and heritage education. Therefore, this project aimed to give continuity the research of scientific initiation finalized in 2012, funded by FAPESP, developed on the topic. Already in the present study the masters overall goal is to develop a taxonomy of the domain Rural of the Patrimony Paulista, to serve in support of registration, indexing and information retrieval in Rural Virtual Memory (MVR) free software developed in the project theme "Criteria and Methodologies for conducting inventory Rural Heritage Paulista", also funded by FAPESP, whose standard description of MVR information includes specific fields for indexing processes. Expected to obtain as a result of this research the structure and application of a representation language information geared towards the historical rural São Paulo that promote access, transfer and communication of content from this environment for all of society.
