Abstract We plan to test two scenarios of massive star formation -- disc accretion or coalescence of low mass stars -- from observations of massive young stellar objects (MYSOs). The first step was to identify those high mass objects ($> 8\,$M$_\odot$) that are associated with bipolar outflows. That was completed with a complete all-sky survey, which is the Master's project of the candidate. The second step, proposed on this Doctorate's project, consists in measuring the parameters of the jets on their launching points with enough spartial and spectral resolution to decide if they are originated by the same type of phenomena that occurs on low mass conterparts (magnetized disc coupling) or if they are launched by winds produced by the accreting discs due to the radiation pressure of the central star. | |
