Abstract The aim of this project is to gain a better insight on the influence of discrete sets on cardinal properties of topological spaces, and a better understanding of the general behavior of chain condition-type cardinal invariants. Different topological properties related todiscrete sets have been investigated recently by several mathematicians of the area (including S. Spadaro, L. F. Aurichi, L. R. Junqueira) and interesting problems remain open. In particular, the ones related to selection principles, discrete reflection and spaces generated by discrete sets will be investigated. | |
