Abstract

The objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of different frequencies of food supply on selecting ingredients, starch digestibility and floating dry matter intake of Nellore cattle feedlot. Will be used 48 animals Nelore bulls with average weight of 370 kg, coming from under grazing system. The animals are divided into four treatments according to the power frequency adopted: 1) the feeding 1x daily (800), 2) the feeding to the 2x daily (800 and 1400), 3) the feeding 3x a day (800, 1100 and 1700), and 4) the feeding 4x a day (800, 1100, 1400 and 1700). The animals will undergo adjustment period of 14 days, which were offered ad libitum diets two adaptation concentrate with levels of 60% and 73%, based on dry matter. The finishing diet contained 67% of broken grains of corn, 14% of sugar cane bagasse, 9% soybean hulls, 5.5% soybean meal, 4.0% mineral supplement with urea, 0.5 % limestone. Featuring a completely randomized design in which each treatment will have 12 animals (animals 1 / pen). At the beginning of the trial and every 21 days, all animals will be weighed. The dry matter intake will be measured every day, and then calculate the average daily weight gain and feed conversion.
