Abstract

The purpose of this project is initiate the candidate to the study and application of the fundamental theory of Integral Equations, furthermore, learn techniques and methods for an exact and an aproximate resolution of such equations. By the analysis of mathematical models and the preparation and simulation of algorithms, the candidate should experience the application os Integral Equations in Physics and Engineering phenomena. The provided complementary activities are:* the participation in periodical seminars with the guiding professor,* the reading of specialized books and articles,* the presentation of works at local seminars and scientific iniciation colloquia,* learning and utilization of LaTeX language for production of international editoration level reports,By the end of the project, the candidate:* Should be able to analyze and manipulate, mathematically and computationally, simple physical problems that are described by Integral Equations,* Has been introduced to scientific searching in an interdiciplinary subarea between Applied Mathematics, Physics and engineering.
