Abstract

The research aims to analyze the existing connections between the work and subjectivity of the postgraduate professor. For this, we will take theoretical contributions from Psychosociology of Work and Psychodynamics of Work. We assume that public university is immersed in a context which is marked by the prevalence of the financial realm of capitalist accumulation (capital globalization) and by the guidelines of the State Reform, which, among other consequences, established a management model that induces academic productivism, which we suppose, implies extending and intensifying work, and multiple and contradictory repercussions in work and subjectivity of the professor. We will investigate the connections between suffering and pleasure at and because of work; adhesion/estrangement for productive sociability; and possibilities and impediments at and because of work. We define as empirical field two postgraduate programs of UNESP. The data collection will consist of official documents, institutional, legislation, trade union resume and lattes, and the questionnaires on the profile of the professor of postgraduate. The analysis of these data will be paralleled to the analysis of 10 semi-structured in-depth about the professors' life history, academic and professional trajectory and everyday work, which will be carried out as a sample constructed based upon the criteria explained through this project. We seek to define the categories of the analysis of the interviewed professors' speeches, in order to confront them with documental data and statistical data of the questionnaires. Thus, we intend to contribute to the discussion about work and subjectivity of postgraduate professor in the context of the university in expansion. Keywords: Public University, Postgraduate, Expansion of Higher Education; Intensifying Work of Professor; Subjectivity.
