Abstract

This project intends to discuss the term and the implications of what Marcel Duchamp has established as "readymade". To do so, it will initiate with formulations that surround the meanings the term had when it appeared at the beginning of the XXth Century. Secondly, the research will analyze the works of Lygia Clark, Waltercio Caldas, and Jac Leirner, which retake Duchampian questions. With it, this project aims to instigate relations between contemporary Brazilian art and Marcel Duchamp's works. (AU)
