Abstract

Natural disasters such as floods, droughts and thunderstorms cause damage and many deaths around the world, and in recent years, Brazil has a large frequency of floods compared to other phenomena disaster. Currently, the information available is insufficient to communities in flood management because they aren't updated in real time. Accordingly, the data from static sensors, sensor coupled to Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) and humans as sensors, can be integrated to mitigate flood damage. However, managing these web-based heterogeneous geosensores in real time, considering the dynamic context of these situations is a challenge. Therefore, this project aims to develop a service-oriented middleware that uses standard protocols from the initiative Sensor Web Enablement (SWE) to discover, access, subscribe and tasking the heterogeneous geosensores involved in flood management.
