Abstract

Regarding mineral nutrition of plants, we highlight the similarities between nutrients boron (B) and calcium (Ca) in relation to the forms and functions they play in vegetables. However the mechanisms involved in the interaction between these nutrients are still not very well known. Assuming that the interaction Ca - B affects the morphological, ultrastructural and biochemical attributes, as well as nodulation in leguminous plants, the present study starts from the hypothesis that there is on the substrate and plant a Ca/B ratio or a band that is most appropriate for growth and production of soybean. Objective with this study was to determine the Ca: B ratio more suitable for the production of grain and dry matter of soybean, as well as evaluating the interaction effects of B and Ca in biological N2 fixation, on the nodules ultrastructural and biochemical evaluations (activity nitrogenase) in soybean (BRS 283), grown in nutrient solution. Will also be evaluated: the interaction of these nutrients in the accumulation of nitrogen (N), potassium (K), Ca, magnesium (Mg) and B, the production of plant dry matter and grain yield and oil content in seeds. The experimental design is a randomized block design with four replications. Will use the statistical factorial scheme 5 ² incomplete, based on Littell and Mott (1975), with five levels of Ca (1.75, 3.0, 4.25, 5.5, 7.25 mmol L-1) and five B doses (3.125, 6.25, 12.5, 25, 50, mol L-1).
