Information as a subject in scientific archival literature

Abstract

Considering the diversity of objects of study verified in archival literature so far (archives, records, information, data), and given the increasing discussions of archival issues inside the academic universe of information science, it is not clear yet how the scientific archival literature incorporates the issues about information. In this sense, this project aims to identify and to analyze how the issues about information are incorporated in the scientific archival literature, trying (a) to identify the authors that discuss the information issues in archival literature, (b) to identify and to analyze which journals are more opened to information issues, (c) to identify and to analyze the universe of subjects used to represent the papers in order to establish subject networks that are created in this context; and to build institutional and authors networks aiming to identify the relationships and scientific dialogues. It will be select the papers published in the Journals Archives eArchivaria, Arquivo & Administração e Acervo (2002-2011) (verifying the incidence of the radical " inform" in the title, abstract and/or keywords). To analyze the data we will use the analysis of content (Bardin, 2008) and the bibliometric analysis.
