Abstract This undergraduate research project aims to develop and implement in a computational routine , an automated system for fault location in primary distribution networks, having distributed generation units installed along their feeders. The proposed fault location system uses information about the operating status of the distribution networks, as well as voltages and currents signals recorded at the primary feeders. This system is based on fault location algorithms to be developed during the work.To validate these algorithms the undergraduation student must use network modeling softwares, such as ATP - Alternative Transient Program, MATLAB - Matrix Laboratory and/or RTDS - Real Time Digital Simulator, for testing distribution systems and the proposed algorithms. | |
