Abstract

The gene regulation is a complex process that depends on various factors for its execution. Some elements that are important to a properly regulation are transcription factors (TFs) and enhancers. Recently, a described approach allows us to take iPSCs from fibroblast cells and turn them into cardiomyocytes, which allows us to study gene regulation in vitro, using the technique of next-generation sequencing of chromatin immunoprecipitation using specific antibodies (ChIP-Seq). The objective of this project is investigate the transcriptional activation during differentiation of iPSCs into cardiomyocytes and compare these aspects in cells from Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy carrier and control patient cells, using the technique of ChIP-Seq.
