Abstract

ABSTRACT - Context and Motivation: This project is related with project "Banco de Dados para Auxílio à Pesquisa em Estimação da Idade Óssea", FAPESP 2007/04081-4 available at www.fct.unesp.br/carpal. In this website are available data about bone age estimation process. Skeletal age can be assessed using a set of features extracted from the hand bones ossification centers. From the website it is possible to access data sets of images for testing, medical reports with reference images for validation of procedures, algorithms for processing radiographic images, references and links to related websites. It also offers standard and updated material to support continued research in this area, contributing to the less subjective and faster analysis by radiologists, allowing executing collaborative work and sharing resources. Such data sets were gathered with the collaboration of researchers from centers that store them separately - among them members of the Faculdade de Odontologia de Bauru-USP, the Faculdade de Odontologia de Piracicaba-UNICAMP and Escola de Engenharia de São Carlos-USP. Goal: Carpal Mobile will consist in developing an application to run on mobile devices (tablets) to access information from the website. Methodology: The application will be developed to devices with Android operating system and must provide mechanisms to access the information from website developed on PHP, HTML and MySQL.
