Abstract

Mutation testing presents a high effectiveness to reveal faults compared to other testing criteria. However, its cost is also high; compromising its wide use and, therefore, solutions has been proposed to reduce this cost. In this scenario, this project intends to investigate alternatives to reduce the cost of the mutation testing. The objective is proposing mechanisms to parallelize the mutation testing. Experimental studies will be conducted to identify mutation testing activities with major cost in order to propose an efficient solution considering current parallel techniques.
