Abstract

Shape memory alloys (SMAs) are metal alloys capable of converting thermal energy into mechanical energy, and once deformed permanently, such materials can return to their original shape through heat. This paper aims to model a particular type of aerofoil profile actuated by using a pair of shape memory alloys and investigate some models of SMA in the scientific literature. (AU)
