Abstract

In this project will study dynamical bounds for one-dimensional discrete Schrödinger operators with Sturmian potentials. Using a method developed by Damanik and Tcheremchantsev, we will present a non trivial dynamical upper bound to the above operators associated with a large set of irrational numbers. Also we will exhibit a irrational number for which the corresponding Sturmian operator has ballistic transport. Moreover, we will present a global lower bound for the upper fractal dimension of the spectrum and this is used to obtain a dynamic lower bound for such operators associated with bounded density irrational numbers.
