Abstract

During the research internship period abroad we intend to develop in depth some issues that arose from the work we have done so far. These issues proved of great relevance to the debate about contemporary art and culture. Our initial plans were to present and comment the criticism of Jean-François Lyotard about new technologies, confronting his reflexions with the considerations of other authors who address the same issues. From the research we have developed so far we can extract relevant issues and we intend to work some of these issues during the research internship making good use of the opportunity to discuss with other researchers. First we are going to analyze the relationship between art and communication established by Lyotard, confronting his thought with the reflexions of other authors. Then we intend to investigate how the debate answered the proposal of some authors who understand that new technologies permited the emergence of a new aesthetic regime. If this new system is indicated as possible, we will try to characterize it. (AU)
