Abstract

The physicochemical properties of Ti-Si-B will be evaluated with the aid of X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) assays oxidation and other chemical characterization techniques. This project will greatly improve the knowledge of these materials and partially fill the gap on the properties of these alloys, with the continuous formation of a new database. This research will include the following steps: (i) production of new body-of-proof Ti-Si-B (II) high energy ball milling (III) hot isostatic pressing, (IV) plasma immersion ion implantation using nitrogen as precursor (N-HTPIII), (V) with XRD, SEM, optical profilometry, (VI) oxidation performance of the tests.
