Abstract

This research focuses on abortion. Procedures of oral history will be used, given its ability to produce documental and historical analysis. Abortion is a topic not yet covered in historical context, therefore we aim to conduct a historical study about the narratives provided by the interviews. Its elements are able to provide outline subjects that are related to experiences shared by a large number of women. Those experiences carry historical roots and are socially constructed. The focus is the experiences of miscarriage or induced abortion: that part of the study is related to the discussion about rights and choices of women who opted for termination of pregnancy in a particularly moment of their careers. To analyze it we will use interviews with women who have experienced abortion, as well as partners of women who took this option in their lives trajectories. It is also our proposal to include the different texts produced on the subject. Therefore will also be interviewed women and men who publicly speaks about the subject, regardless of having experienced abortion in their personal stories. The interviews will be the documental corpus. Reflections about the interviews elements will be made and related with the chosen bibliography. (AU)
