Abstract

The aim of this project is to develop new dentin/pulp capping biostimulator material that may be the basis for the development and recoating of "scaffolds" to repair different dental structures. This study will be composed of two stages: Stage 1 - Development and preparation of a biostimulating bandage (BBio) of dentin and pulpal tissues of deciduous and/or permanent teeth. In this stage, physical and chemical structure tests of the bandage will be carried out. Stage 2 - After defining the physical and chemical properties of BBio, cell culture will be performed in order to study the viability and growth cells of the pulp of human deciduous teeth, and mRNA expression of DMP-1, FGF-2 and Nestin and expression of the DMP-1, FGF-2 and Nestin protein.The techniques used for the analysis will be MTT, RT-PCR and Elisa. The data will be described by means of graphs and tables, by using ANOVA test followed by Tukey test. If necessary, other tests may be applied. The significance level of 5% will be adopted for the differences considered statistically significant. (AU)
