Abstract

Following the current trend of producing renewable energy with low environmental impact the study of wind blades becomes relevant. The best operational conditions for the airfoils can be predicted by understanding the loads and displacements that a wing receives. For that, a computational method to predict dynamic stall based on a series of semi-empirical differential equations that describe the ONERA method will be implemented and your results will be compared with other papers. Translational and torsional displacement analysis will be done using a computational model for typical aeroelastic airfoil section. This research will allow the complete understanding of dynamic stall effects in airfoils submitted to different oscillation frequencies and the analysis of the nonlinear aeroelastic behavior related with stall-induced vibrations.
