Abstract

This project takes place within linguistics field of interest by the linguistic lexical survey, the lexicographical study and the systematization of linguistical and cultural aspects of indigenous languages that intends to perform. The proposal is to analyze Brazilian dictionaries with regard to the lexicon of cosmology, i.e., focusing on words that express the knowledge about the sky, the stars, the constellations and other celestial bodies, as well as natural (day, night, moon phases) and social phenomena (timing, cosmogonic myths etc.) associated with it. The compilation of the obtained and collated terms will serve as a basis for composing a corpus of valuable application for studies in different areas of knowledge. (AU)
