Abstract

The contribution of the Archival Identification in Personal Papers: a case study at the Fernando Henrique Cardoso Institute In this project we intend to explore the theme of applicability of Archival Identification methodology applied to Personal Papers in the field of Archival Science, taking advantage of a practical study at the Fernando Henrique Cardoso Institute, more specifically in the Fernando Henrique Cardoso fund . This is a literature review and practical verification methodology for identification of private collections , which aim to analyze the concepts of Archival Identification and personal papers presents in the literature of area to influences in work realized, in order to investigate how the identification can contribute to the definition and organization of personal papers. Thus, based on the concepts of archival identification and personal papers so as the delimitations between private archives of different natures(personal versus institutional),is possible to characterize papers with respect to their origins, avoid misunderstandings. In this sense, we explore and to analyze in practice the hypothesis of the archival identification contributes largely to ensure that the treatment and custody of records are appropriate, as it involves a deep study of the genesis of the archival, with the purpose to investigate the province, retrieve and show elements inherent in fund the at various levels.
