Abstract

This research aims to understand the territorialization of union of docker in the port of Santos/SP: the Dockers Union of Santos, São Vicente, Guarujá and Cubatão. Therefore, to examine whether these union dynamic will face political privatization and modernization of ports in Brazil. That is, if you want to understand the effects of policies to modernize the ports in relation to stevedoring workers and their unions. Similarly, analyzing the geography of the official union structure Dockers Union of Santos, São Vicente, Guarujá and Cubatão, limitations to the workers' struggle. Therefore we will investigate social, political, labor practices and forms of resistance such workers face these changes.
