Abstract

In the last years, the complexity and variety of services offered on the Internet have increased. This led to a search for efficient routing techniques of client requests to the best host available. One of these techniques is known as application layer anycast (ALA). An algorithm proposed based on anycast, the Global Application Layer Anycast (GALA), has as purpose elaborating efficient methods to provide anycast in the application layer with quality of service in the context of cloud computing. At present, it has a simulator for the extraction of results. But, the configuration, execution and results collection of this software is not trivial, due to the amount of possible environments. Therefore, the objective of this scientific initiation project is to develop a web interface that allows the user to plan experiments on GALA simulator in a quick and intuitive way. Additionally, the tool must present the results in charts and tables. In this manner, new conclusions regarding the GALA algorithm are expected, bringing scientific contributions to this work.
