Abstract

The goal of this research proposal is to investigate the effectiveness of lattice-based cryptography, particularly the techniques to alleviate the bottlenecks that are commonplace in that kind of cryptosystems. The number and diversity of network nodes has been growing steadily, and some of those devices are very constrained in terms of available storage and processing power. Nevertheless, the information flowing through such devices is no less critical, thus demanding dedicated cryptographic solutions to protect that information. By studying the algorithms needed to implement the aforementioned family of cryptographic protocols, we will seek to optimize its applicability to those devices and other similarly constrained platforms.
