The applicant must to synthesize samples of NixMg 1-xTiO3 by the solid state reaction method, and to perform the structural, vibrational and optical properties by using Raman scattering, x ray diffraction and optical absorption in the UV-VIS-NIR regions. After these characterizations, he must to study, by Raman scattering, the temperature- and hydrostatic pressure -induced phase transitions.
