Abstract

The projet pretend to analyze the stretch of Apology, 20b-22d, which contains the reference of the inquery to the oracle of Delphi, the context in which the defendant explains the status of its activity and it arguing procedure. However, there is a specific meaning elenkhos that context, it does not seem to be reducible to the status that is usually done in terms of the so-called Socratic dialogues. To examine this use of the term elenkhos in relation to the oracle, it must to consider, in the text, how the notion of divinity appears and how this use will be an axis of Socratic reference to its defense, also in his dialectical activity component. Here still appears the question of the relationship between mantic sophia and philosophical knowledge. The analysis will be mainly concentrated in that passage of the Apology.
