Abstract In this project we study the detection and use of the cosmological voids, i.e. large voids low density regions in the universe. The main focus will be the study, implementation and improvement of specific detectors, as well as the study of how the properties of voids, e.g. abundance and density profile, can be used to bind cosmological parameters, in particular those related to models of modified gravity with local shielding mechanism. We will also have a theoretical study and detailed numrical implementations of different models of modified gravity, focusing on theoretical and observational access viability of these models in current and future experiments.
