Abstract Psychological attention for families has been widely studied since its inception. This type of psychotherapy is considered by experts, as more complex than the individual attention, mainly due to transference and countertransference issue that occurs during the therapeutic process. Throughout training in psychology, the undergraduate student has the opportunity to perform clinical care with the goal of building its identity as a therapist and to use in practice the techniques and theoretical concepts they learned. There are still few studies that aim to reflect on this stage of training when the subject is the care of families. Through the analysis and interpretation of clinical material from the psychoanalytic family attention, conducted by undergraduate students in a school clinic, the present research, clinical-qualitative, aims to address, under the theoretical reference of psychoanalysis of family and couple the various dimensions of this therapeutic process to interface with the clinical training of undergraduate students.
