Abstract

With the increase of agricultural production in the country in recent decades, the water, key resource in Agriculture, began to receive special attention. Recent studies show that much of the water used is not rechargeable, especially when it comes from deep sources such as confined aquifers. This can lead to scenarios of future water shortages, compounded by the possibility of drought in much of the country. One of the forms of water resources management is charging for water use. This project proposes a study on the water incorporated in Agriculture and its export, with inferences about the vulnerability of water sources, a reflection on the tax laws regarding water and a proposed water management plan, through a case study in municipality Holambra/SP.
