Abstract

This project presents the pollen morphology study of 23 Sapindaceae species native from forest fragments remaining in northwest of São Paulo State, aiming to contribute to morphological characterization of these species, searching pollen data that may help their taxonomy, expanding the knowledge about the pollen diversity in the family and providing subsidies for the biodiversity of these environments. The pollen grains will be acetolysed, measured, described and photographed under light microscopy, and when necessary, under scanning electron microscopy to observe the exine ornamentation. Qualitative data will be described for establishment of pollen types, and the quantitative data receive statistical analysis according to the sample.
