Abstract

The main objective of this proposal is to study the links between experience and History in the trilogy Os Filhos de Próspero, written by the Angolan author Ruy Duarte de Carvalho, in comparison with his essayistic production as well as the authors' listed in the form of intertext (literary or historical), along the plot of the novels : Os Papeis do Inglês (2000), Paisagens Propícias (2005) and A Terceira Metade (2009). Therefore, the research aims to explore the insertions, omissions and revisions of historical events in the composition of these novels, observing the representation of History of Angola, the contact points of this History and the Southern African region, and the convergences and divergences in conjunction with the American and the European continent.
