Abstract

This research is related to the project developed during the Ph.D. degree at Social Sciences, where the project analysis was focused on social relations between the neorurais locals neutrals) and foreigners (CODONHO, 2011) around the practice of organic Agriculture at Southern Minas Gerais. These two categories could be understood as new social typology (WEBER, [1973] 2000) that helps to categorize individuals who choose a new lifestyle at countryside. Some which already grew up in the countryside, having born into a rural lifestyle, then after converted to a sustainable Agriculture practice or, those who have moved from urban center areas, without any background history at Agriculture, but looking for a less stressful lifestyle being in contact with the nature (THOMAS, 1988; KAYSER, 1990; WANDERLEY, 2000; CARNEIRO, 1999; 2008). In this context, the organic producers associations get in the spotlight, since they are a privileged locus to neorurais locals neutrals and foreigner interactions, allowing each group to contribute with their personal characteristics. Take as an example the neorurais locals neuronal experience at manual daily fieldwork activities and the foreigner know how in management and business, concerning the Southern Minas Organic Association Center creation contributes even more to this fact. It promotes new alliances and discussions as a game that Mayer (1987) would call almost groups creation, in which, what matters is a common goal, even if they do not share the same opinion about other particularities. Therefore, this invites us to think if it has been created a new social class by these new ruralities or it is just an unprecedented relationship in the countryside based on a current context, such as environmental issues.
