Abstract

This project aims to identify and analyze the influence of the trade union movement in the labour regulation during the PT's government between the years 2003 - 2014. His proposal aims to fulfill some of the objectives proposed by the thematic Project “Labor conditions in current Brazil. Formalization, job insecurity, outsourcing and regulation" (process 2012/20408-1) approved by the FAPESP, precisely in terms of their fourth axis search (labor regulation and the influence of the trade union movement). This issue will be considered in the favorable context of the Brazilian economy and labor market during the years 2000s, in which several initiatives have occurred by the trade union movement, such as the proposition of a development project based on the income distribution and valuation of the work. Although the trade union movement has achieved space to present their demands to the governments, this has not represented a substantive change in the labor regulation, whereas few union proposals were reached. In this context, this research aims to realize a balance of union action (central unions), in the public arena, seeking to elucidate the aspects that determined the absence or the reaffirmation of the union action influence.
