Abstract

Bermudagrass cultivars are the main turfgrass used in large football stadiums in Brazil, and new improved cultivars have been introduced recently in the Brazilian market. Shading caused by roofing in football stadiums, directly affects the physiology of plants, influencing the pitch quality. Due to the small amount of research undertaken in relation to the effects caused by the shadow, and cultural practices that should be adopted to mitigate this problem, the aim of the work will be to evaluate the quality and nutritional status of three bermudagrasses cultivars used in pitch soccer, subjected to shading and the use of the plant growth regulator. The experiment will be conducted on the São Paulo State University, in Registro, SP, Brazil The experimental design is completely randomized, factorial (3x3x2) scheme, three cultivars of bermudagrass (Tifgrand, Tifway 419 and Celebration), three light conditions (full sun to 50% and 90%), with and without use of trinexapac-ethyl regulator growth. Will be evaluated: turfgrass height, dry matter accumulation in leaf blades, intensity of green color of the leaf blades, concentration of macro and micronutrients in plants, green cover of the soil, and interaction between the player and pitch.
