Abstract

The Lot Sizing Problem (LSP) is one of the most important problems and most difficult in production planning. This issue has been widely studied in the literature. In this research project, we intend to study the LDP single-stage and its variants - single item, multiple items, with capacity constraints, etc, trying to make the student familiarized with the mathematical modeling. The aim is to implement mathematical models from the literature in a modeling language (AMPL, GAMS or OPL) and perform some computational tests for validation.
