Abstract

Proteins correlated to cellular adhesion and migration processes are strictly important in the biology, in the development and in cellular differentiation mechanisms. Actually, those proteins are investigated in different areas of Biology field; human cancers and their metastatic processes have been considered a hot spot in this area of investigation. Protein as EpCAM, Claudin and ²8-Integrin have been intensively investigated, despite of many mechanistic details, concerning the activities of such proteins, has to be clarified. Interestingly, the mRNA of such proteins presents putative binding sites to human microRNA (has-miR) -4465 and to -513a-3p. miRNA are small non-coding RNA that are able to physical bind to the 3´-UTR of mRNAs, conducting to the mRNA degradation or protein synthesis blockage. Considering the involvement of those molecules with the controlling of gene expression, their function in cancers have been investigated. Tumor diseases are considered a serious problem in public health, based on such observations, the present research plan focus on has-miR -4465 and has-miR-513a-3p super expression analyses in human lung cancer cells to investigate cellular behavior. Based on future results we will be able to infer if the investigated miRNAs are correlated to the metastatic process.
