Abstract

The cutting stock problem is very important for industries that deal with the production of materials (objects) in other smaller (items) by a cutting processes. One of the major interests of these industries is to minimize the trim loss obtained during cutting. However, in the industrial context, while planning the production schedule, the due date associated with each order must be considered in order to optimize material usage and avoid delays in the delivery of the product (item) to the client. The objective of this research is to study the cutting stock problem with due date. It is intended to bring together the works of literature, there are few that address this issue, proposing/adapting a mathematical model for this problem and, ultimately, perform computational tests for model validation.
